About Tessa

Hi, I’m Tessa, an Austin-based line dance instructor who loves helping a room full of people relax, learn something new, and dance together. I teach private and corporate events throughout Central Texas, and I travel nationally for select dates. My lessons welcome first-time dancers while keeping the experience fun for guests who have danced before. Before each event, I work with the host to choose the music, timing, and lesson format that fit the group.

Teaching approach

I start with simple steps, clear counts, and plenty of repetition. We learn one short section at a time, practice it with music, and build from there. No partner or prior dance experience is needed. I can offer lower-impact options, adjust the pace, and change the plan in the moment based on the room.

Favorite line dance song

Choosing Texas by Ella Langley

I love its modern country sound and confident energy. When it fits the audience, I pair it with choreography selected for the group’s experience level.
